World’s
Fittest Man Launches Fittest Website
As
summer approaches, Americans are trying to shape up and slim down for
the beach season. They are doing so despite a growing obesity problem:
62 percent of Americans are overweight, compared with 48 percent in
1980.
Joe Decker, “The World’s Fittest Man” from Gaithersburg,
MD and author of the upcoming book The
World’s Fittest You: Four Weeks to Total Fitness (Dutton,
2004), used to be part of that problem. But now, with the launch today
of his new website www.joe-decker.com, Joe is offering Americans the
solution.
Once, Joe was fat and out-of-shape. But through an amazing personal
journey from fat to fittest, Decker transformed himself from flabby
farm boy to fitness hero. And Joe didn’t just attain an average
level of fitness- he’s achieved fitness stardom- breaking the
2000 Guinness World Records “Twenty-four-hour Physical Fitness
Challenge.”
Joe Decker’s website includes archives from his syndicated column
Get Fit with The World’s
Fittest Man in which he answers reader’s health and fitness
questions in simple, easy-to-understand language. Geared for the fitness
novice as well as the weekend warrior, questions include “Does
the 8 minute workout really work” and “What’s the
best time of day to work out?”
“I believe in leading by example,” says Decker. “If
I can do it so can you! I believe my website can become part of the
fitness solution.”
